19th Century Welsh Mahogany Occasional Table

An unusual and charming small antique occasional table, with a circular base raised on four feet, a turned column and a beautifully figured top with scalloped edge. I believe this dates to the mid 19th century, and is probably Welsh.
 
A quirky little table with lots of character. The column is nicely turned and the top is made from a single piece of beautiful mahogany, the rounded outline giving it a flower like shape. The circular base has carved detail applied on a lathe, and a x-shaped brace underneath supporting the feet. There is something written in pencil on the underside of the base but unfortunately I can’t make it out.
 
Condition: The base and column both have old woodworm holes. There is no evidence that this is recent, but we have treated it against woodworm as a precaution. I suspect that the top has been re-finished at some point as it is lacking the patina I would expect, but it is a lovely piece of wood.
