Description

An exuberant C19th Italian painted side table / serving table; in the Brighton Pavillion style with original pale green and gilt decoration; the unusual Connemara (dark green) marble top on a giltwood moulded shallow frame. The profound frieze, with unusual giltwood mouldings; flanked by bold, relief carved acanthus scrolls to the corners. The reverse of the table having two drawers of different sizes. Raised on substantial turned tapering legs terminating in brass shaped collars.

Italian circa 1880

Good sturdy 'country house' condition commensurate of age and use.
