An imposing set of brass Portuguese double beam weighing scales, surmounted with a bulls head finial. The balancing rods ending with poised dolphins and the four weighing pans are supported by three chains each. The shaped base contains twelve original graduated brass weights, 5g - 2kg, there are many stamps. This set of scales dates from the early 20th Century on a later marble base.
