A Charming Arts & Crafts Needlework Panel (Circa 1910)

1900 - 1920
Sold by Culvertons
Description

A verse from Samuel Taylor Coleridge's 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' inspired the creator of this appealing and finely stitched Arts & Crafts needlework panel. Their use of stylised lettering together with the depiction of 'All things both great and small' is so charming. Having been kept away from direct sunlight, the needlework is remarkably well-preserved and retains much of its original vibrance. It is displayed under glass within its original frame, which is decorated with satinwood banding to its inside edge. Its original backboards are sealed with a typical covering of brown paper. A lovely panel that will compliment a broad range of interiors.

Dealers Notes

Whenever possible Culvertons undertake the carriage of items within London and the home counties. Professional, competitive and trusted couriers and shipping companies are engaged for deliveries for the remainder of our customers. Smaller items, when instructed, will be carefully parcelled and securely sent by the carrier.

We strive to accurately describe and illustrate our stock on the 'Selling Antiques' website. However, we understand that it is not always possible to judge from photographs how an item will look in the home or garden. For this reason, if notified within seven days from the date of delivery we offer a full refund (less any agreed carriage costs) once the item has been returned in the same condition as it left our premises.

Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
