Description

A beautifully well-made 19th century cast iron safe in top condition and complete with original key. The understated, simple design consists of three external swing handles and a twin panelled door opening on two sturdy hinges to reveal a single general purpose interior. The black finish is original throughout and has acquired a lovely soft lustre shine. The original lock and key work absolutely perfectly. This heavy-duty highly desirable English strong box is Victorian, c.1875/c.1900.
