Description

A mahogany William IV Period occasional/chess table. Having a rectangular fiddle back mahogany top inset with a sixty four square inlaid chess board with alternating rosewood and birds eye maple squares. Supported on an elaborately carved and turned baluster stem and having three swept carved cabriole legs. Superb quality carving and use of timber would suggest this could have been made by Gillows Of Lancaster but not marked, English circa 1840

Dimensions: 28" high x 14" deep x 18" wide

Condition: This table is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
