It was listed by Antique Furniture Direct. Sold pieces stay on Sellingantiques as a record of what has passed through, and the next one is rarely far away.
Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It has two drop leaves which open out to create an oblong shaped table. The top and flaps are all intricately carved with vine leaves. The original pull out supports underneath have been replaced but do not offer sufficient support for the flaps – the flaps can be held up but are not strong enough to be load bearing. With the flaps down the table is solid and sturdy.
Construction/Wood:
Solid oak.
