This exhibition quality Regency breakfast table dates from the 19th century and is made of warm brown mahogany with brass fittings. The rectangular surface has rounded corners and a crossbanded border, supported on a turned central pedestal base with reeded splayed legs ending in brass paw castors. Practical for daily dining or as a centrepiece, it seats multiple guests comfortably in a traditional or modern living space. The piece measures 76 cm high, 149 cm wide, and 120 cm deep, standing steadily on a floor. Fine woodworking details include reed-carved legs, a moulded edge along the top, and polished brass hardware. The timber exhibits natural grain patterns throughout the surface, showing warm brown tones complemented by metal accents. Placed in a dining room, library, or entrance hall, the table provides a stable surface for meals, books, or decorative objects while adding classic Regency style to the interior.

Originating in early 19th-century Britain, Regency breakfast tables typically feature a central pedestal base with splayed legs and a tilting top mechanism, designed for flexible seating in dining spaces.

These tables are primarily constructed from fine hardwoods such as mahogany or rosewood, often featuring satinwood crossbanding and cast brass caps or paw castors on the feet.

Authentic pieces feature reeded splayed legs terminating in original brass castors, hand-carved turned central columns, and original brass tilt-snap mechanisms beneath the tabletop.

A Regency tilt-top table functions as a focal point in an entry foyer or can be paired with modern upholstered chairs in a contemporary dining space.

Maintain timber surfaces by dusting with a dry microfibre cloth, applying natural beeswax periodically, and placing the piece away from direct heat sources to prevent wood movement.
