A Taxidermist Elephant Foot

19th century
Description

Circa 1890. A taxidermist elephant foot, with circular top with an EPNS bezel and a mahogany insert, which is hinged and has an octagonal lid opened by a small EPNS finial. The inside of the foot is lined with felt. The foot and top are in excellent condition.
