Description

A delightful carved octagonal plant table /jardiniere crafted by Japanese fishermen, imported and retailed by Liberty & Co around 1905 in the ‘ Eastern Bazaar’ section at their Regent street shop in London

In excellent original condition with an attractive lotus leaf pattern on the top and carved splayed legs

Very indicative of the Arts and Crafts period at the start of the 20th Century

It measures 29 inches high and 14 inches across the top with the legs splayed to 18 inches

A really elegant piece of furniture that would grace a period or contemporary house as a plant or lamp table
