Good Quality Victorian Mahogany Gallery Easel

Description

This is a good quality 19th Century Mahogany gallery easel in fine original condition dating from around 1890.

The easel has typical tapered supports terminating in elegant swan carved detail. This has a good quality brass ratchet rising mechanism and has a thick felt lined frame rest. With a good warm honey colour to the solid mahogany and a very nice patina this is 214 cms in height by 72 cms wide by 22 cms deep (when closed).

From the residual contents of Stanhope Castle, Bishop Auckland.
