Opus Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
It also has around the rim 'Squab as e'.There are a couple of old minor repairs to one of the handles and a small part of the rim.
This is areally interesting piece , difficult to make and having all the attributes that you would like to see on a quaich, including a lovely colour.
It measures 10cm w incl the lugs x 4cm h.

A Quaich is a shallow curved bowl for drinking spirits, larger ones were used for ceremonial purposes.
