Large Mahogany Cellarette C.1830

19th century
Description

Large and very handsome early 19th.c. mahogany cellarette c.1830. Of classical sarcophagus form with a sloping lid. Opening to reveal a fitted interior with dividers and a removable zinc liner (for chilled bottles) with space inside for 28 standard bottles (internal height 15"). Highly figured flame mahogany veneers to each side with deep mouldings. Raised on turned bun feet with brass castors underneath. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Original brass hinges, stay and lock. Key supplied.
