Description

Circa 1880. An exhibition quality French circular marble top bouillotte table with gilded ormolu, kingwood and tulipwood in the manner of ‘J.H. Riesener’. The breche violette marble top held in place by gilded bezel with a moulded top and ribbed fore edge, with a single drawer in the shaped frieze with a diamond pattern inlay, framed by a stylish gilded mount. Simple ogee moulding to the outside and beading on the inside, there is foliate casting to the top of each of the legs and a gilded beading to the bottom of the frieze. The table rests on four quality legs with a gilded ormolu capital and foliate carving and ribbing, the fluted legs have gilded inserts on tops and finish on an elegant base with further gilded mounts to a gilded toe which tapers and finishes on a simple squat bun foot.

In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
