Stunning Victorian Cut Wool Picture Parrot Embroidery

Description

This is a wonderfully colourful cut wool picture in a quality mahogany frame dating from around 1870. The woolwork is of a beautiful parrot feeding upon berries on a beaded background. .

This style of woolwork from Victorian times is very colourful and warm and this is a fine example. This features a wonderful deep sculptural profile to the finely embroidered woolwork. It is in excellent condition retaining full strength of the colours to the embroidery work and it measures 56 cms wide by 58 cms high with the crest.
