Description

Superb Victorian fold over card table made from solid rosewood in excellent condition with only minor marks in line with age and use. It's wonderful, veneered top rotates to reveal a hidden storage recess with plenty of room inside to store the cards, games, etc and folds over to reveal a green baize games surface. The grain of the wood in the frieze is superb and has stunning crisp carved scrolls at each end. Supported by a central turned carved column is carved with quadruple splay legs ending with a scroll toe terminating on castors. When closed it makes a stunning console table however it is always ready for games night. In excellent condition with a gorgeous warm colour and amazing patina. This is a stunning piece of antique furniture both attractive and practical, a perfect addition to any home.
