Description

A good 8 inch diameter Philips British Empire Globe. Correct in its components with a brass meridian and upper and lower support cups to the axis. A turned and ebonised original base. Some wear to areas from useage but nothing significant well depicted by the photographs. It rotates well and has no significant wear to the poles as many do.The 8 inch version is less common than the larger 10'' and 12'' and it does not over power the desk or table it stands upon. Shows Persia and Siam so 1930's in date.
