Description

A period dining table in the manner of Gillows. Cuban mahogany with large one piece leaves. The pullout action of the table allows for chairs to be seated around the table without hindrance, which means that the table will seat 10 comfortably. Recently French polished this is a handsome table, with original leaves and brass castors. Fine quality and sturdy this no warpage or splitting of the top. English c1820.

Please note : this table will pull out further to take an additional leaf. If a client requires this additional length- for occasional use - an insert could be made which can then be hidden under a damask table cloth. This table is competitively priced because it has been purchased directly from a private home and has not passed through an auction room where it would have incurred around 45% in added fees.
