Wonderful rare long set of eight French ''Faux Livres'' These lovely books were used as secret storage boxes used to hide valuables in a very clever manner, made from card they are incredibly realistic with gold embossed leather look spine with a Notaires name and 19c date stamps, they are most likely to date from around 1890/1900. Very original, complete and extremely handsome and attractive they are!
