Opus Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
They have been turned from one piece of wood including the side handle.
This was to say that the measure had been checked and verified that it was correct measure. These measures would have been used for measuring dry ingredients.
There is a couple of old shrinkage splits to the half pint measure. Nice to have two measures from the same place.
