Capodimonte porcelain originated in Naples, Italy, in 1743 under King Charles III of Bourbon, recognised for its detailed mouldings and figurative subjects. During the nineteenth century, the style evolved to feature ornate relief work, mythological scenes, and vibrant polychrome glazes on decorative table caskets and urns.
