Andros Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
What sets this type of vessel off are the imperfections that add so much character, such as the non perfect cylindrical shape for starters. You will also notice the quaint stitched repair, proving that this was a pot to be used in its environment, as well as being treasured.

Originally used for the storage of wine or olive oil, the drain hole at the base is another sign of authenticity. With ringed decoration to the outside, and a glorious patina this vessel can be used purely decoratively or used for displaying flowers or plants.
