Description

Dating to the second half of the 19th century, this lovely covvie skirt has several attractive features. The pale terracotta silk has a delicate ton sur ton design and is pleated. The embroidery and applique work is finely done and resonates with ancient Chinese symbols, including the lotus flower and swastika. It retains the original straps. Some minor stains, but the silk and embroidered areas are in very good condition.
