Yorkshire 1930’s Wood Turning Wall Display Case

A fabulous, original wood turning product display case to be mounted on the wall from the famous Yorkshire company Thompsons that was in business for over 140 years near Skipton. Mounted in the original oak wall cabinet and with two sliding glass doors. This decorative display case was displayed at the Exhibit of Woodturning on the stand of the Forestry Commission at the Royal Agricultural Show in 1937. It is in superb condition, a lovely piece of Yorkshire history from a well known firm that closed in 2004. Interestingly, the company was also famous for making over half a million wooden yo-yos in the thirties when the yo-yo craze hit England!
