Pair of Regency Papier Mache Wine Coasters

Description

A pair of papier mache bottle or decanter coasters from the Regency period. This pair of antique coasters is decorated with a traditional design of trailing vine leaves punctuated with a cartouche of grains.

There is a little wear to the rims of the coasters, this is compatible with over 200 years of use but it does not detract from their appeal. The coasters retain the original baise to the base.

A very stylish addition to the table or drinks trolley.
