Victorian Mahogany 6ft Extending Dining Table with Joseph Fitter Mechanism & Queen Anne Legs

A Victorian period, mahogany extending kitchen dining table, Circa 1870. This charming original table with oblong shaped top with moulded edges, extends by way to additional leaves, telescopic stretcher bearers, and Joseph Fitter patent wind out screw mechanism, complete with original handle. Raised on Queen Anne style well proportioned cabriole legs with short bun feet, on original brass and porcelain castors

A totally original period table, full of charm and character, in good working condition; cleaned, waxed and ready for use.

Dimensions:

This table measures approximately 73.5 cm (29") tall, 106.5 cm (42") wide, 181 cm (71.5") long extended, and 120 cm (47") unextended. The leaves measure approximately 30 cm (12") each.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in a good original condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. There are several odd marks and blemishes in keeping with its age and use. Mechanism and castors are all original and working well. No obvious signs of repair. Good colour, polish and patina. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.

Returns

A 30-day return period is offered for peace of mind. Items must be returned in the same condition as supplied. Return transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and original delivery charges are non-refundable. Responsibility for the item remains with the buyer until it has been safely received back.
