An imposing Japanese Meiji tall bamboo brush pot for long brushes decorated with a hand-carved scene of two samurai on horseback, set in a mountainous landscape beneath a flowering tree with mother-of-pearl blossom. The rim is decorated with mother of pearl roundels. . Measures 42cm high x 13cm dia.
