Large late 19th century folk art rocking horse, c1890. Beautifully constructed and hand painted in a naive style it has real decorative appeal and would display well in a traditional or modern setting. The paintwork is still bright and vibrant and the construction solid. Overall condition is good in line with age and use. There have been historic repairs including a replacement piece of timber at the base, there are minor marks/losses to the paintwork etc, all very much as you would expect from a piece of this age that has been used over many years.
