Description

An early 20thC Broadhurst Clarkson London TERRESTRIAL library or table telescope. Extremely unusual and powerful for its size this telescope could have been a Broadhurst workshop experimental piece. The lenses are good with no blemishes or chips and they produce a clear image when looking at the landscape,marine views or the moon. A second lens (with cylindrical container) is best suited for terrestrial viewing and can be fitted to produe a further magnified terrestrial image. The folding leg stand enables rotational and verical movement. The last two photographs show the telescope pointed at the most distant trees in the picture, the last showing the powerful magnification.

About 68 cm long when in use.
