Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

FAQs

Wooden butter stamps and prints were traditionally used in 18th and 19th-century dairies to emboss homemade butter with distinct motifs, often indicating the maker or farm of origin.

These items were typically hand-carved from dense, non-porous domestic hardwoods such as sycamore, boxwood, or beech to prevent the butter from sticking and to withstand frequent washing.

Authentic pieces show hand-tool marks, natural timber shrinkage, deep patination from handling and dairy fats, and lack modern machine-saw indicators.

Small wooden kitchenalia items make excellent display pieces when grouped on open shelving, displayed in kitchen cabinets, or mounted as small-scale folk art.

Keep wooden treen away from direct heat sources and high humidity to prevent cracking; clean only with a dry or barely damp cloth and avoid soaking in water.
