A delightful Regency Period Mahogany circular card tray with a dished top and moulded rim.

Circa 1820

Price :£ 120-00p.

Height: 0.75”, 2 cms, Width: 7.12”, 18.2 cms,

Note: This would have been very much in evidence during the early 19th. century when it was common in polite society for callers to be announced by a butler or major domo by the presentation of a calling card. This was the forerunner of today’s business cards and was a small printed card which identifies the bearer, traditionally presented for introduction when making a social visit to a home or when attending a formal social event or business meeting.
