A lovely sampler by Elizabeth Kerby aged 13 and dated 1833. The fine needlework showing deer, flowers, birds, and trees, edged with a floral decoration. Elizabeth has a verse: Elizabeth Kerby is my name and with my fingers I work the same and by my sampler that you may see what care my Father took of me. In a 19th century rosewood frame and still in good condition.
