In really excellent condition. As an antique item, the globe show minor signs of use commensurate with age, these minor condition issues are mentioned for accuracy and, as seen in the accompanying photographs, the globe displays beautifully.

George Cruchley was a globe maker in the working period 1823 to 1877 conform the Dictionary of Scientific Instrument Makers by Gloria Clifton.
The celebrated Cruchley family of cartographers and globe makers produced some of the greatest late Georgian globes, and are often considered one of the best 19th century British globe makers.
