Description

This very decorative coverlet was probably embroidered in India in the 1920s, the design taken from the classical Indian Palampore repertoire. Note the chainstitch technique and the delicate drawing of the tree and other ornaments. The subtle pastel colours are delightful and would be ideal for a bedroom or many other setting. Please note this coverlet is one of an identical pair. They are available individually or as a pair. They are both in excellent condition, ready for immediate use. Each piece is priced at £950. The price for the pair is £1800.
