Pair of late C19th/ early C20th French ormolu-mounted marble vases .

Elegant pair of decorative variegated marble vases with tapering ovoid bodies raised on turned ormolu socle supports onto square block bases . The slender turned necks with gilded beaded rings and fixed ‘lids’ with berry-style finials . Fitted with twin cast-ormolu scrolling handles with flower-head detail . Further stiff-leaf’ gilded ormolu mounts to the base of the marble bodies .

The cream coloured marble having attractive grey and peach coloured striating and veining .

Smart quality pair of Louis XVI style marble vases of neat scale and proportions, being of an ideal size for a mantelpiece or side cabinet.

In excellent original condition with no damage or repairs.
