French Antique Warehouse has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
There are three internal sections to the drawer, which has a working lock with key and a nicely curved pull lip at the top. Lion paw claw feet finish the front cabriole legs, these standing on the central concavely curved stretcher and finishing in buns beneath.

As a console table, the proportions fit well into an entry, hallway or living space, with a flat back to fit against a wall. The curve of the wooden spacer shelf at the bottom would allow a chair to be pushed in so that it might also be used as a work surface.

The piece is in good age-related condition, with some very slight scratches in the marble top and nibbling along the back edge.
