Yolanda Gray Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The boot stand retains its original sturdy brass carrying handle. The boot stand is constructed with two turned columns, decorated with bobbin finials, which secure the boot rack shelf and lower sledge shelf below. Additional, spandrels below the shelves provide additional support to the structure. The boot stand is raised on shaped feet.

The boot stand boasts a rich colour and patination. It has been cleaned and French polished in our workshop, to revive the wonderful colour of the wood, and the year of care and cleaning it has received.

The boot stand would look good in any hallway or boot room, in either a traditional or contemporary setting. It would certainly grace any home and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

Condition Report:
Here is a fine quality antique English Georgian mahogany double sided boot stand, for storing whips, riding boots, wellies; with brass handle and pegs, circa 1830, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the mahogany frame, but nothing significant, considering the age of the item. The boot stand has been cleaned and French polished, to a professional standard, in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of a first-rate standard. The brass carrying handle is original and sturdy. The pegs are all intact and in excellent condition – there are no breaks or missing parts. The boot stand is well-constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
