Persian Style Letter Rack & Desk Tray

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a very pretty desk set comprising a tray and letter rack in hand painted papier mache all decorated with flora and fauna in the traditional Persian style. The early 20th century pieces have a deep blue ground shade and the the animals and plants featured are in rich polychrome colours. The tray measures 25 cms by 18 cms and the letter rack measures 18 cms by 10 cms by 7 cms. They are both in good condition.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
