This quality, very large extending dining table in solid mahogany, Circa 1870. With oblong shaped top with thumb moulded edge, over a plain frieze with lower lipped edge. Raised on carved well proportioned cabriole legs, on equally well proportioned brass castors. The table extends by way of a Joseph Fitter ''Patent'' double screw mechanism on sliding telescopic stretchers, with removable winding handle. Triple extending leaves and the table can be set with either one, two or all three leaves.A handsome, very well made table, in good condition overall and very much ready for use.
