A 17th century copper plate engraving showing the county of Nottinghamshire. Indented pressed mark just beyond the outer ink or neat line. Binding fold, down the centre, evident from the reverse. Early maps such as this were almost always housed in bindings and not stand alone prints. Lovely example in very good condition with later hand coloured tinting. Housed in an 18th century Hogarth type frame. Measurements including frame 52 x 62 cms.
