Curious Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
I am not a silver specialist but I am pretty sure the hallmarks indicate it was made in Birmingham 1850-1. The hallmarks are nice and clear ,the makers mark is slightly rubbed and is either C.C or C.O. There are two additional silver/white metal (I think silver) decorative masks on the body of the horn. The horn is marked I G at one end. Overall condition is good with only very minor tarnishing to the silver. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or have any questions.
