Large 19th century scrimshaw Walrus tusk,c1870. This is a fine example, good size and weight at 0.3kg. The scrimshaw depicts a Georgian/Victorian lady and is nicely composed and executed. The colour is wonderful following years of handling and use. Overall condition is good with no obvious defects. There is a hole drilled into the tip to enable it to be hung for display.
