Fine 19th century human skull,c1890. The skull is minus the cap and lower jaw and has small pins inserted around the rim and catches to the side to hold the skull cap, so was clearly used as a study aid in a medical school. It has taken on the great mellow colour you would expect from an old example. Overall condition is good with no obvious issues, there are 4 teeth present which wobble slightly in their sockets when pressure is applied, but this is always the case where the soft tissue is no longer present.
