A beautiful fragment of early 18th-century wallpaper from the region of Ydre in Sweden. It’s probably printed onto fabric and partially hand-painted. It hung until around 1960 when it was taken down and mounted in a wooden frame.

Such an unusual piece of history and a highly decorative piece.

Medium: Printed fabric

Overall size: 27½” x 27½” / 68cm x 68cm

Year of creation: c. 1730
