Inlaid in silver on the top of the stock in Arabic writing:-

"Made by Abudall Alrahman". Also written "Made in the year 1261". This equates with the year 1839, making it 183 years old.
With steel ramrod.

The Jezail uses the unusual Sind shaped stock, which made the gun easier to fire from camel or horseback.
They were hand made and regarded as a very personal weapons, and designs and finish varied, often tailored to individuals requirements. They were used by Afghan warriors against the British in the Anglo-Afghan war. It has a highly decorative finish. It can be owned live without any form of license.
