Very large oak framed wool work picture with interior 17th century scene in colour threads, The heavy oak frame is carved and with top carved detail for AT1886, Carved swags JE-ME-FIE-EN HORA- ET SEMPER carved boss to the lower edge, PILLAGE& DESTRUCTION of BASING HOUSE, HANTS, OCT 14TH, 1645. Frame size 73 ins wide, 59 ins high, 4 ins deep.
