Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
A charming William IV tea table in a stunning original condition.
This lovely table is in a fine original condition which we have just enhanced by sympathetically restoring and waxing this table preserving the lovely lightly faded original rich Mahogany colour with lots of patina and charm.

The top of this table slides over on an offset pivot to reveal a storage compartment before folding over to the double size polished table surface. To the underside of the top features a frieze with a moulded panel to the centre and elegantly carved scrolls to either end.

The stunning original tabletop stands on its cylindrical descending pillar to a quatra form base which sits on its elegantly carved and scrolled feet complete with its original inset brass lightly polished castors.

There is no movement or play in any of the joints as the table is being normally used, the top is flat with no bowing or twisting and smoothly turns and folds over. This table has a small overall form yet is versatile from having a fold-over top managing to accommodate up to 4 chairs for use as a card or games table.

Please note this item is in beautiful condition for its age as shown in the photographs below however being an antique item it does have the odd bump and repair here and there. The table has some old splitting to the underside table surface due to timber movement but is not loose or too noticeable. However, we feel that these points are which adds charm and character to a piece.
