This unusual and highly tactile GEORGIAN YEW TREE LETTER BASKET dates from circa 1820. It is finely made and well designed.

The yew wood is a deep, rich colour.

There are old repairs and losses. The repair to the top of the handle, where tiny metal plates have been pinned on either side, is very appealing and indicative of an Estate Employee's work.

This BASKET would stand well on the top of the desk and is very eye-catching.
