Pair of large late 19th century hand carved Balinese Barong statue, c1890.These are traditional Balinese temple guardians and would be placed at the entrance to a temple. Both are well carved example with traces of original paint and good detailing to the features etc. They are in good original antique condition with only minor surface cracks/wear. There are a few historic woodworm holes around the base of one, long dormant but treated anyway and very minor.
