Fascinating early 19th Century Grand Tour Marmo Tessalico Verde Antico and Marmo Rosso carved rams head handled tazza inkwell or snuff box. The beautifully carved treen container with silver fittings and engraved 'IS' looks to be original but could possibly be a later addition to a much loved Grand Tour piece. Italy, probably Rome, circa 1840.
